We have been very busy around here. My sister, Beverly, had her second child, Luke Garland, a couple of weeks ago, and he is just darling! anyway, Back to what I was coming here for.. :)
It's the Christmas season. Plenty of presents, decorations, lights, etc. What about Jesus? I have really stopped and thought a lot this year about the TRUE reason for the season. It's almost too much for my mind to comprehend why someone so powerful, mighty, and sovereign as our Lord would want to come to earth, as a vulnerable baby in a manger of all things, just to save us all from what we committed.
I start to wonder, as I do now with Luke, what was going through His brain as a newborn, a toddler, a child and teenager. Jesus never sinned, but did He have the same temptations we do today? Did He have a favorite color growing up, or a pet sheep, etc? I may sound silly, but it's just so amazing to think that our Savior was just like us.
Well I best be going to catch some sleep, for the family will be here bright and early in the morning!
